The Final Round: Life After Boxing

My master's dissertation project, The Final Round: Life After Boxing, is an investigative mini-documentary exploring the challenges professional fighters encounter when retiring from combat sports. While many athletes openly discuss mental and physical health battles, this piece investigates the systemic support required once the gloves come off. Insightful athlete and expert interviews

A cornerstone of my documentary style is drawing compelling narratives from diverse voices across combat sports. This project features in-depth conversations with former professional boxer Stephen Smith, former dual-sport athlete Stacey Copeland. These conversations remain some of my proudest interviews as both interviewees were incredibly inspiring. Moreover, I spoke to industry experts, Nick Peet and Gary Shaw. Navigating these dialogues enhanced my ability to engage professional journalists comfortably, extract authentic insight, and craft nuanced sports analysis.

Broadcast packages and digital productions

Beyond documentary filmmaking, I have produced compact television packages and digital sports content. I developed confident on-camera presentation, rapid-turnaround video editing, and social media clip curation. These projects demonstrate versatile production capabilities tailored for fast-paced digital newsrooms and sports broadcasters.
